John Davies, Past President of the South East Region in 2009, was the recipient of one of Swim England's highest honours when he was awarded the Harold H Turner Award at the National Awards ceremony in Birmingham on Saturday 18th November.
The Award recognises John's tremendous energy and commitment to our sport that stretches back over 40 years.
He held role swimming teacher, technical official, club administrator and board member across his clubs, county and the region, where has left a lasting impact on the organisations he's been involved with until his retirement in 2022.
John's Award follows that of his wife Jane who received the Harold Fern Award in 2015. We don't know of another couple who have had such a significant and long term impact on our sport.
