Protect yourself, the young people you are coaching and your employer by understanding and following good coaching practice. Learn about child protection and how to handle situations if you have concerns.
This seminar is aimed at all those working with young people. This workshop will help coaches recognise poor practice and the red flags of abuse, while also prompting a review of your coaching practice to ensure that you provide a positive and enriching experience for all children.
Bursaries may be available for SwimMark accredited clubs. PLEASE NOTE You must be 18 yrs or over for this Seminar. Under 18s must be accompanied by a chaperone. Virtual Classroom workshops are already subsidised and will not be eligible for Regional Bursaries.
PLEASE NOTE – If you have previously attended Safeguarding & Protecting Children 1, in a face to face format, you are now able to access an online safeguarding course ‘Renewal: Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport’ which is an approved alternative for renewing teachers, coaches and volunteers. The training is accessed through SCUK and is an eLearning module which has been deemed as acceptable by CPSU to be used for renewal, rather than doing the face to face course again.
