We are pleased to invite coaches of all levels and disciplines to register for this free workshop exploring ethical coaching through story telling on Thursday 4th December at the Egham Orbit Leisure Centre, 10.30am -1.30pm - lunch provided.
Coaching is an ethical practice because it involves decisions about what is right and what is good and how we ought to act towards athletes, participants and others in the sport environment. Coaches interact with people and make decisions about people all the time and therefore each one of these interactions and decisions has an ethical dimension to it.
The learning experience
This coach learning and development opportunity involves watching some short films about stories in coaching.
Having watched a film participants will then have an opportunity to reflect and discuss their thoughts, perceptions and interpretations with others. The films are fictionalised stories based on real situations.
The learning environment
We will all commit to creating a safe non-judgmental space where difference is encouraged and accepted.
Participants must be opened minded and curious to explore their practice from different perspectives.
Please book your place by Thursday 27th November.
