In 2026 our Open Water Championships will return to Mercers Lake on Sunday 28th June.
Closing date for entries for all competitions in these Championships is Tuesday 16th June 2026

We are excited to tell you that the 2026 Championships will be the host event for the County Open Water Championships for Hampshire ASA, Berkshire & South Buckinghamshire ASA, rural Kent ASA and Sussex ASA.

Coaches and Team Managers
All coaches and Team Managers supporting swimmers at this competition will need to download a Swim England DBS, Safeguarding, qualification certificate which will have to be shown before being allowed into the swimmer / briefing area. This is available FOC from the Member Options after 1st June 2027.

National Open Water Championships
The race distances at National Championships, as outlined in Point 12 of the Conditions, are as follows:
Female and Open/Male
* 13yrs – 3km
* 14yrs – 5km
* 15yrs – 5km
* 16yrs – 7.5km
* 17/18yrs – 7.5km
* 19+yrs – 7.5km
Swim England have confirmed that the National Championships will take place at Rother Valley Country Park on 25th July.
