This is an appeal for technical officials for The Swim South-East Region Winter Short Course Championships 2022.
It will be held at the Winchester Sport & Leisure Park Pool, Bar End Rd, Bar End Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9NR on Saturday the 5th & Sunday the 6th of November 2022.

When you add your availability, you will receive a message that you have volunteered.
In accepting offers for qualified officials, priority will be given to officials who will be able to work both sessions on a single day.
You will receive an e-mail to confirm the sessions that you have been accepted to officiate at.
Expenses will be paid in accordance with the region’s Expenses Policy (here)
Mentoring
There will be limited number of opportunities, in each session, for candidate officials to be mentored working towards a higher-level qualification. The maximum number of trainees accepted for mentoring on any session are:
- Referee 1
- Judge 2 2
- Judge 1 6
No trainee will be allocated more than one mentored session over the weekend.
To be allocated a J1 mentored session, you must have completed the J1 Theory Module and be in possession of a J1 Workbook.
Trainees applying for mentored sessions will be expected to be a fair way through their workbook for the relevant qualification and must bring their workbook with them.
To be allocated a mentored session at J2, or above, it is expected that you will officiate, at least one other session, during the weekend.
Dress Code
Can I please remind you of the Swim England Dress Code, for Technical Officials:
Polo shirts (provided by Region or white personal) are to be worn ‘tucked in’ at all sessions.
Male officials are requested to provide their own full length white trousers.
Ladies provide their own full length white trousers or below knee length white skirt or white ‘cropped’ trousers (i.e. at least 3⁄4 length).
Shorts are not acceptable for officiating at Regional/National competitions.
- White shoes (with closed toes) and white belt (if required).”
