Our Annual Council Meeting (ACM) and Development Morning will take place on Saturday 15 September at the Holiday Inn, Guildford, GU2 7XD.
This is your opportunity to help shape the work we do and where we invest.
Development workshops will start at 10:00 with the Annual Council Meeting, including presentation of our Volunteering Awards, starting at 12:15.

Using what we know to build our volunteer workforce – Claire Coleman, Swim England Head of Volunteering and Pathway. This workshop will be encouraging the attendees to looking at:
- Motivations of why current volunteers volunteer and how their journey began.
- Club culture.
- How can clubs use this knowledge to engage new volunteers / Do we recognise the Volunteer cycle?
- Task v Role – a different approach and could it work in a Swim club.
- Recognition and Reward – using survey feedback – what is done well, what can we do better.
A practical guidance for Club Welfare and other Officers on preventing and dealing with peer-on-peer bullying via social media and sexualised activities – Shelley Robinson, Regional Welfare Officer.
This workshop examines issues of incorporation, the options available for clubs and the ways forward – Chris Lee, Swim England South East Board Member.
To complement the Swim England South East Annual Council Meeting we will be running a development morning for club personnel.
