Important: Lis Hartley

Posted on 01 May 2013 at 23:58 by Mike Lambert (7 user comments)

ASA South East Region is sad to relay the news of the passing away of Lis Hartley. She died earlier this evening (1st May 2013).

She was a mainstay of swimming in the old Southern District of the ASA, the new South East Region and the English Schools Swimming Association.

She was also a highly respected swimming official, serving two terms on the FINA Referees list, officiating at the Olympic Games in Sydney and being one of the Referees at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Lis also worked assiduously on the management group of the regional championships and was a valued member of the Regional Management Board. We will all miss her friendship and support and offer every sympathy to her family.
