British Swimming Swim Suit Rules

From 1st January 2010 all competitions in England, Scotland and Wales will be applying the FINA rules in relation to Swimsuits for swimming, Masters and Open Water competitions.
Officiating at Events Which Include Swimmers with a Disability

An introduction to officiating at events which include swimmers with a disability. This course will be held on 26th September 2009 betweeen 9am and 7.30pm at The Quays. Southampton.
Funding opportunity for ASA Helper Course

The Swimming Trust is offering funding for ASA Helper Courses. If you are 14 years of age and over and live in a Thames Water area (click here for a location map) you can apply for up to £50 towards the cost of the qualification.

Birthday Honours for South East Volunteers

The Region would like to congratulate two outstanding volunteers on being awarded the MBE announced in the Queen's Birthdays Honours List today.
Margaret Tuppen - Brighton SC for voluntary service to sport and Paul du Feu - Tigers (Jersey) SC for voluntary service to swimming in Jersey. Both Margaret and Paul have worked tirelessly for their clubs and swimming in general for many years and have at last been recognised for all their hard work.
Permitted Swimsuits and the Rules of the ASA

The ASA Board has agreed to a change of ASA Law in relation to Costumes from 1st September 2009. Please see the statement as displayed on the British Swimming website.

Swimming Officials Log
The Swimming Officials Log provides an alternative to the Log Books provided by the ASA. Instead of entering details of activity into the log book you can record activity on-line. Authorised persons in the Region and the ASA can access the information to check your activity without the hassle of submitting your hardcopy book.
