Unfortunately we were finally defeated by the weather, which far exceeded the forecast for the day. We did manage to complete the 2000m and congratulations to Lewis Young (Dover Lifeguard) and Emma Joyce (City of Milton Keynes) who won through in an exciting race held in very poor conditions and can both claim their first appearance in the Age Group Open Water Championships.
The Region 5K Championships are being held at Eastbourne on Saturday 18th August and entry forms can be found at www sussexswimming.org . Entry forms are available also for the Sunday event at Eastbourne and the Pier to Pier Swim at Southsea. Details can be found on the Open Water Calendar in the downloads column
